At the “Untersberg” time runs by crazy…

It is the most mystique and powerful place in the Alps.

1992 the Dalai Lama called it as the hart-chakra of Europe when he was on a visit to Salzburg.

The caves of the magical mountain

Many different names have been given to this special hill. First day it was named “Untersberg” was demonstrably at the 28th of June 1306.

The local people also call it “Mountain of wonders”, “Magic Mountain” or “holy hill”.

Also a name is “Mountain of light” because it is popular for its special phenomenon of lights and sun.

You can watch this phenomenon durable in the region around this wonderful place.

Endless caves are running through this mountain and are not already explored completely.

People speculate about gremlins and dwarfs who live under that hill in never-ending corridors and small chambers where they protect their riches.

Time is overridden

Many people who went inside these caves thought they were in only a short time.

But after coming back out again they recognized that years and years had gone by.

So this is another point to mention:

The “Untersberg” is famous for its phenomenon of time with “time steps” and also “arrest of time”.

All this seems to happen during the entire year – but unforeseeable!

You will find these happenings at a place in the mountain called “Steinerner Kaser” located exactly at the border between Bavaria and region Salzburg.

Geologists talk about a gate to another dimension which opens up every year on the 21st of June and the 15th of August at 2 pm.

Deep inside the mountain people say there is a “Mirror world” where everything is like in our side of the world only reversed and the people living there are ruled by Charlemagne.

There is a short story about these special incidents:

Once there was a wedding party. They wanted to walk from the village “St. Leonhard” to the small town “Gröding” to celebrate the marriage. While walking over the “Untersberg” one of the guests told about an emperor and his entourage who disappeared traceless here in the mountain.

He claimed that ghosts have been living here since that time and present hikers with riches.

When the groom heard these words coming out of the teller’s mouth he started calling for the ghosts and pleased them to present him.

Suddenly the mountain opened up and a small grey-dressed old man with white hair appeared and invited them to come in.

The complete party followed the old man into the mountain.  Attained in the center they all sat down on a huge table and started dining marvelous food and drinks.

Cause of the perfect Dinner they all fell asleep directly at the table.

Finally awake again the small old man brought them all to the exit.

Looking around they all felt strange. Everything seemed to look different than before.

They reached their hometown after this exhausting trip but there was nobody they knew or had ever seen before.

All their houses, good known neighbors and friends were not there anymore or had changed. They even did not understand the language spoken.

What happened?

So they went to the local pastor and told him their story.

He showed them the church-chronicles.

These were telling about a wedding party that disappeared 500 years ago…   …traceless…
